Job summary

State of Florida Department of Management Services seeks a Maintenance Support Technician to assist with building upkeep, minor repairs, and preventive maintenance on site in Orlando. Responsibilities include painting, carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, and groundskeeping as well as supporting energy management and safety systems.

Requirements include 1 year of related maintenance experience or vocational/technical training; ability to read blueprints; and valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in maintenance and repair of buildings or related trades.
• May substitute vocational/technical training for experience.
• Includes knowledge of plumbing, electrical or mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance mechanical staff and skilled tradesmen.
• Perform minor repairs, painting, carpentry, electrical work.
