Job summary

Steel and Pipe Supply Company, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 1st shift in Longview, TX.

You will repair, service, and inspect production equipment and facilities, maintain records in SAP PM, and support a safety-first environment. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years of maintenance experience, knowledge of electrical systems and hydraulics, plus strong reading of prints and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of electricity (11, 230, 460) and hydraulics/pneumatics.
• Experience with maintenance in a manufacturing/industrial setting preferred.
• Ability to read and understand prints, documents, drawings.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment research.

Responsibilities

• Attend all schedule safety, department, and company meetings as required.
• Follow and enforce company safety policies and safe work practices at all times to ensure safety of self and others.
• Repair, service, and inspect facility equipment and property (production machinery, building components, ground operated machinery).
• Maintain detailed maintenance records in SAP PM.
• Train and coach new Maintenance personnel.
• Procure parts and supplies to ensure equipment uptime and maintain departmental budget.
