Job summary

Equity Property Management in Mishawaka, IN is seeking a full-time Maintenance Supervisor for an apartment community. This role combines hands-on maintenance with team leadership and strong resident-service focus.

The supervisor will lead a maintenance team across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and appliance repairs, coordinate preventive maintenance and turnover work, and ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years hands-on maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC.
• Supervisory experience required for supervisor position.
• Ability to read and interpret rules, procedures and reports; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance staff and supervise daily work.
• Perform hands-on maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and more.
• Schedule contractors and manage turn process for vacant apartments.
• Maintain preventive maintenance program and inspect property.
• Ensure safety and compliance with Fair Housing laws.
• Monitor equipment such as water heaters, boilers, and ventilation.
