Job summary

Equity Property Management is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for a multi-site apartment community in Mishawaka, IN. You will work under the Maintenance Supervisor and handle general maintenance as well as electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, and HVAC tasks.

Requirements include two years of maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift heavy items. HVAC certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in routine maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds including electrical.
• Strong plumbing background.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain electrical circuits, switches, outlets and lighting fixtures.
• Repair, install and maintain plumbing fixtures such as water heaters, lavatories, toilets and dishwashers.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair of apartment buildings and grounds.
• Repair and maintain building exteriors, shingles, doors, windows, etc.
• Install drywall, trim, counters, appliances in vacant units.
• Be willing to work overtime, on-call shifts and emergencies.
• Communicate professionally with supervisors, co-workers, residents and others.
• Work as part of a team and participate actively.
