Job summary

Glacier West Self Storage is seeking a Resident Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance across Edgewood South, Edgewood North, Milton, Fredrickson, and Orting. The role requires strong mechanical skills, communication with customers and vendors, and the ability to travel between properties.

Applicants must live on-site, have a valid driver’s license, and be available for emergencies outside standard hours. Competitive hourly pay with benefits including 401(k) match and health insurance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in facility maintenance or related field.
• Self-storage facility experience is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with basic computer skills including email, apps, and data entry.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between properties.
• Willing to live on-site in employee apartment.
• Available for emergencies outside normal hours.
• Reliable and self-motivated with strong work ethic.
• Must pass criminal background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance of storage units and facilities.
• Address roof leaks, gutters, downspouts, and siding.
• Manage groundskeeping and vendor relationships; assist with landscaping as needed.
• Inspect and maintain security systems (cameras, gates, fencing, lighting).
• Maintain equipment such as elevators, doors, and carts.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize disruptions.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment; order as needed.
• Support other properties to meet operational goals.
• Continuously learn and utilize workplace applications and tools.
• Fulfill duties as assigned by management.
