Job summary

Glacier West Self Storage is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance across its Orting, Puyallup, Edgewood, Milton locations and nearby districts. This full-time role requires hands-on maintenance experience, forklift certification, and strong leadership.

You will supervise maintenance staff, schedule work, manage vendor relationships, and ensure safety, compliance, and high property curb appeal.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
• Advanced hands-on knowledge of facility maintenance.
• Intermediate mechanical, plumbing and electrical skills.
• Good written and verbal skills.
• Basic carpentry and sheetrock knowledge.
• Landscape maintenance experience is a plus.
• Forklift certification is required or can be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Directly support assigned properties by completing work requests.
• Assist operations manager to maintain property standards and curb appeal.
• Ensure safety, workmanship, and conduct of maintenance staff.
• Conduct regular property inspections and plan repairs.
• Schedule work to meet make-ready timelines and quality standards.
• Evaluate outside contractors and manage vendor relations.
