Job summary

Silgan Containers in Evansville, IN is seeking a Machine Operator to operate automatic strip fed presses, luggers, and ovens. You will load strips, run production, and monitor quality using test blocks and gauging equipment.

Starting pay is $20.42 per hour with shift differentials, comprehensive benefits, and training. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work any shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Able to stand, walk, bend and twist for extended periods.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate presses, lugger, compo machine and oven.
• Load strips into press magazine.
• Perform quality inspections and document data.
• Monitor and adjust process variables as needed.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
