Qualifications

• LPN license for Georgia is required.
• BCLS certification required.
• CPI certification required.
• NCIC/DBHDD clearance required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must have a valid driver’s license if transportation is needed.
• Positive attitude, flexibility, and ability to work with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Monitor individuals' reactions to medication or treatment and report to the RN to modify the plan.
• Work under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Attend ISP meetings when applicable.
• Administer medications and ensure MAR documentation.
• Assist with nutrition planning and support special diets.
• Coordinate with families regarding individual needs.
• Train staff on medical needs as required.
• Ensure medications are stored per guidelines and follow up on doctor appointments.
