Job summary

Vivant is seeking a hands-on field technician in Farmers Branch, TX to own and resolve network and VoIP issues on-site. You’ll troubleshoot from symptoms to root cause, document outcomes, and coordinate with ISPs and carriers for timely resolutions.

Requires 3+ years in low-voltage fieldwork, experience configuring routers/switches, and strong knowledge of VoIP. Travel ~25% within the DF–W area is expected. High school diploma required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial low-voltage field experience.
• 2+ years hands-on configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and wireless.
• Hands-on VoIP phone troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of static/DHCP addressing, VLANs, ping, traceroute, ipconfig, and basic router/switch configurations.

Responsibilities

• Own the site and drive fault isolation from symptom to root cause until fixed.
• Troubleshoot network and telephony issues across circuit, modem/ONT, router, DHCP/DNS, VLANs, and SIP.
