Job summary
The Kroger Co. is seeking a maintenance technician to uphold the reliability of our distribution center buildings and equipment in Portland, TN.
You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and dock systems, using CMMS to document activities and monitor parts inventory. Qualified candidates will have basic trade skills, a valid driver’s license, and a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Basic plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, welding, mechanical and electrical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and manuals.
- Skilled with hand tools and power tools.
- Valid driver’s license.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Training in facility maintenance including carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanics.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems and dock doors and levelers.
- Repair minor electrical, HVAC, plumbing and dock doors and levelers.
- Assist / monitor equipment process parameters to perform predictive / preventive maintenance and enter data into CMMS
- Assist in monitoring inventory of spare parts and tools.
- Operate maintenance diagnostics equipment such as multi-meters and pyrometers.
- Diagnose failures and perform repairs to resume operation.
