Mayo Clinic in Southaven, Mississippi, is seeking a Laboratory Information Management Specialist to lead LIS support and manage laboratory file builds on-site. You will document changes using the TIP system and act as a resource for IM-related functions for the lab.

The role requires a clinical/medical laboratory science degree with several years of lab experience; path to growth includes introducing new IM solutions and adapting to a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in clinical/medical laboratory science or related field.
• Four years of relevant laboratory experience; or a Master’s with two years of relevant lab experience.
• HEW certificate may substitute for the degree; other clinical lab specialty certificates reviewed.
• Experience with laboratory processes, assays, databases and spreadsheet applications.
• Experience with IM test implementation process and with lab information systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead LIS support for the laboratory, including operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory file build.
• Document and track changes to laboratory file builds using TIP.
• Serve as an expert resource for information management functions in the laboratory.
• Develop and implement emerging IM and electronic solutions and services per DLMP Quality System Essentials.
• Complete other projects or assignments as needed.
