Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Mid-Level Linux System Administrator to support the Missile Defense Agency on the IRES contract at Redstone Arsenal. You will manage Linux servers, patching, hardening, and automation using Ansible, OpenShift, and vCenter, while maintaining security baselines and secure data transfers.

Requires 3+ years Linux admin experience, Bash/Python scripting, virtualization, and an active DoD Secret clearance; remote work not available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of Linux systems administration (RHEL 7/8/9).
• Experience with Linux config management, provisioning, patching (e.g., Red Hat Satellite, Ansible).
• Experience in VMware vSphere/vCenter and Bash/Python scripting.

Responsibilities

• Administer Linux servers, workstations, and infrastructure.
• Patch, configure, and harden systems to DISA STIG standards.
• Automate deployments with Ansible, Bash/Python; manage OpenShift and containers.
