Job summary

Alpha School is hiring a Life Skills Guide to lead a K–3 cohort, either K-1 or 2-3, with energy, pacing, and workshops tailored to the band. You will run hands-on life skills sessions and drive progress in learning apps using Coachbot analytics and clear targets.

The role demands a bachelor's degree, fluent English, and at least intermediate Spanish, plus 3+ years of experience with energetic young children. On-site in Dorado, Puerto Rico, with in-person work required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field.
• Fluent English to speak clearly with students and families.
• At least intermediate Spanish to manage behavior and communicate with families.
• 3+ years of experience working with children ages 4–9 in high‑energy, high‑engagement settings.
• Experience actively managing groups of 10–15+ young children.

Responsibilities

• Run one‑hour life skills workshops using storytelling and active practice.
• Use Coachbot analytics to spot blockers and set targets.
• Lead group check‑ins to reinforce goals and surface problems.
• Apply motivation systems to drive visible behavior change in focus and output.
• Intervene when students are stuck and coach problem‑solving in real time.
