Alpha School is seeking a Youth Development Specialist to lead one K-3 cohort (K-1 or 2-3) in Dorado, Puerto Rico. You will run hands-on life skills workshops, use Coachbot analytics to drive progress, and maintain high energy and standards for a small classroom.

You will manage behavior, deliver focused instruction, and motivate students through a structured, data-driven program. This is a full-time, on-site role with a strong emphasis on measurable growth and life-skill mastery.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• Fluent English to speak clearly with students and families.
• Intermediate Spanish to manage behavior and communicate with families.
• 3+ years with children ages 4-9 in high-energy settings.
• Experience actively managing groups of 10-15+ kids.
• Willing to work in person in Dorado, Puerto Rico.
• Legal authorization to work in Puerto Rico.

Aufgaben

• Run one-hour hands-on life skills workshops using storytelling, pacing, and active practice to help students pass Test2Pass.
• Use Coachbot analytics to spot blockers, set daily/weekly targets, and keep students on pace in adaptive apps.
• Lead group check-ins to reinforce goals, celebrate wins, and surface issues early.
• Apply motivation systems (points, currency, leaderboards) to drive behavior change in focus and persistence.
• Intervene immediately to coach problem-solving and self-correction in the moment.
