Job summary

Abbey Residential is seeking a Leasing Consultant for an on-site role at a Houston community. You will conduct property tours, explain lease terms, process applications and guide residents from inquiry to move-in, while maintaining accurate paperwork and high standard of service.

You will manage phone, email and in-person inquiries, stay informed on unit availability and amenities, and support community events to enhance resident satisfaction and occupancy goals.

Qualifications

• Experience with leases and lease administration, including explaining terms, processing applications, and ensuring accurate documentation.
• Strong resident retention skills, with the ability to build rapport, foster long-term relationships, and support renewal efforts.
• Excellent communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication with residents, prospects, and team members.
• Demonstrated customer service skills, with a commitment to providing responsive, courteous, and solution-focused support.
• Prior leasing, property management, or multifamily housing experience is preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in Houston, TX, including weekends or evenings as needed to meet community and resident needs.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and proficiency in basic computer applications and property management software.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in real estate, business, or a related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property tours for prospective residents and explain lease terms to applicants.
• Guide applicants through the leasing process from inquiry to move-in and ensure accurate paperwork.
• Manage phone, email, and in-person inquiries, keeping up-to-date on unit availability and amenities.

• Collaborate with the property management team to meet occupancy goals and maintain a welcoming environment.
