Job summary

Sugarloaf Mountain Corporation seeks a Construction Project Manager to lead on-site management at Big Sky Resort from concept through warranty. You will oversee diverse projects, coordinate with Mountain Operations, Lodging, F&B, Retail, HR, Real Estate, and other departments to minimize disruption and ensure operational continuity.

Role requires 7+ years in resort/commercial construction, strong budgeting and scheduling skills, and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of on-site construction management experience, preferably in resort, hospitality, commercial, or mixed-use development settings.
• Demonstrated experience acting as general contractor or superintendent on self-performed or owner-directed work, including estimating, buyout, and subcontractor management.
• Strong project management skills: planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a complex operating environment.
• Knowledge of building systems, infrastructure, architectural plans, and construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, budgeting, and schedule analysis for leadership consideration and approval.
• Coordinate with resort departments to define project programming and minimize disruption to operations.
• Manage subcontractor selection, bids, and contract negotiations; prepare scope documents and bid recommendations.
• Oversee on-site construction supervision, safety, procurement, and quality control.
• Provide monthly project reporting and ROI analysis; manage change orders and cost controls.
