Job summary

Engelke Construction Solutions / Engelke Facility Solutions in Kentucky seeks a Construction Superintendent (Division: Commercial) to lead field operations on commercial projects, coordinating subcontractors and foremen while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role supports schedule maintenance, coordinates with the project management team, documents RFIs and as-builts, and collaborates on weekly planning meetings. Extensive travel is required for full-time work across 48 states.

Qualifications

• Two to three (2-3) years of commercial building construction experience required.
• Basic understanding of general construction documents, drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of construction cost control and basic accounting procedures.
• Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite programs.
• Intermediate management, leadership and interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication.
• Ground-up retail construction experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Uphold and represent all company values and ethics; maintain integrity and loyalty to company and client.
• Assist in managing the field and project management team.
• Maintain and update project records including RFIs and as-builts.
• Assist Superintendent with weekly coordination meetings and planning.
• Prepare daily reports with photos, manpower, activities, delays, and weather conditions.
• Help produce weekly look-ahead schedules for project management.
• Initiate RFIs to address issues in plans and specifications.
• Monitor quality control and adherence to construction documents.
• Assist with material inventory and punch list management.
