Thalle Construction Co., Inc. is seeking a Lead Estimator to guide the estimating team through full-scope cost planning on high-profile heavy civil projects. This on-site role in Alvarado, TX, requires leadership, bid strategy, and strong risk analysis to drive competitive proposals.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in heavy civil estimating, expertise in Bid-Build/Design-Build/CMGC, and proficiency with HCSS, Agtek, Revit, Rhino, and MS Office. Travel and US work authorization are required.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of heavy civil construction and delivery methods.
• Ability to lead an estimating team and develop full-scope estimates.
• Strong risk analysis, strategic judgment, and written technical narratives.
• Advanced negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency with HCSS, Agtek, Revit, Rhino, and MS Office.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 10+ years heavy civil estimating.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel; US work authorization.

Responsabilités

• Lead the estimating team in the entire estimate deliverable process for assigned projects.
• Analyze drawings and specs to determine scope and required documentation.
• Develop full-scope estimates for Bid-Build, Design-Build, and CM/GC.
• Assess risks and opportunities and present them to management.
• Coordinate bid strategy, schedule, and means/methods with the team.
• Participate in technical proposals and write technical narratives for RFPs.
• Provide quantity takeoffs, unit costs, and detailed cost estimates.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor pricing and manage prequalification.
• Monitor cost history and ensure bid documents are complete.
