Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Environmental Technician to support remediation projects from Fort Collins, Denver, and Greeley areas. This on-site role involves supervising field crews, managing equipment operations, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The candidate will oversee site activities, monitor systems, assist with sampling plans, and maintain documentation. Strong background in heavy equipment and environmental fieldwork is preferred, with oil and gas exposure a plus.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma and 6+ years of relevant experience or equivalency.
• US citizenship required; no sponsorship.
• Drug screening, background check, MVR and medical surveillance.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations for remediation, demolition, excavation, cap placement, trenching, and site restoration.
• Supervise union and non-union equipment operators, laborers, teamsters, drillers, and subcontractors on active project sites.
• Coordinate work sequencing, equipment use, contractor activities, and daily production goals.
• Drive adherence to work plans, construction specs and environmental controls.
• Oversee system operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and performance optimization.
• Direct groundwater sampling programs and support regulatory activities.
• Maintain daily logs, production and safety records, and subcontractor documentation.
• Serve as the primary on-site point of contact between subcontractors, project managers, safety staff, and client representatives.
