Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking a Team Lead Aircraft Maintenance in Millville, NJ to supervise a skilled team of technicians and manage multi-project workflows.

The role requires deep knowledge of aircraft systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical troubleshooting, along with leadership to guide day-to-day operations. Ideal candidates have 10 years of aircraft maintenance experience and at least 4 years on program-specific aircraft.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and Airframe and Powerplant License are required.
• Aircraft-specific factory training is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
• 10 years’ experience on aircraft maintenance preferred.
• 4+ years on program specific aircraft.
• Team Leads have a direct impact on the department and supervise technicians and customers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and guide a team of aviation maintenance technicians and foster teamwork.
• Provide daily oversight of technicians, set work schedules, and support aircraft deliveries.
• Ensure adherence to aviation regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections for quality assurance.
• Coordinate and conduct training programs to build skills.
• Identify areas for process improvement and boost productivity.
• Oversee tools, equipment, and hangar space maintenance and resource needs.
• Maintain accurate work orders, FAA paperwork, and billing items.
