Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus, New Jersey, is seeking a Laundry Worker to join our facilities team. In this on-site role, you will collect, sort, and process linen and uniforms, operate washers and related equipment, and ensure timely delivery to patient-care units.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (or equivalent), up to a year of laundry experience, good English communication, and basic arithmetic skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months-1 year laundry experience preferred.
• Familiarity with automatic washing machines.
• Good oral communication skills.
• Must pass basic arithmetic skills test.
• Speaks, reads and writes English as required.

Responsabilités

• Collects and sorts clean and soiled laundry.
• Inspects linen and removes stained or worn pieces for reprocessing.
• Loads and unloads washers; operates machines as needed.
• Delivers linen to various units and clinics.
• Sorts, folds and stacks processed linen on shelves.
• Keeps simple tally records of quantities or types of laundry.
