Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking a DAS Landing Gear Technician II to perform overhauls, repairs, inspections, and testing of aircraft landing gear components across various models.

You will work both in teams and independently, maintaining meticulous repair records in a fast-paced, safety‑driven shop environment. The role emphasizes hands-on mechanical work, attention to detail, and adherence to FAA guidelines while collaborating with supervisors and other technicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate’s degree in related field (aviation or maintenance mechanic) or equivalent preferred.
• A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform overhauls and/or repairs on a wide variety of landing gear systems.
• Troubleshoot and assist in repairing/inspecting different landing gear components.
• Maintain records of repairs per FAA and manufacturer requirements.
• Work as a team player or independently as projects dictate.
