Job summary

Eastman Chemical Company is seeking a Lab Technician to support laboratory operations and project needs on-site in Springfield, MA.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or Technical Diploma preferred; B.S. in Science is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.
• Effective time-management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow SOPs and work instructions.
• Science or technical background with understanding of experimental methods and critical thinking.
• Physical capability to safely learn and perform laboratory tasks, including glass cutting and lamination processes.
• Ability to work independently after appropriate training and qualification.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Laboratory Operations Support: Glass cutting and preparation, glass washing and handling, packaging and shipping support, interlayer preparation, sample preparation and organization, laboratory setup and cleanup, materials management and inventory support.
• Project and Customer Support: LTS support activities, sample fulfillment and shipment coordination, work request processing, documentation and record management, data entry and reporting support, general project preparation activities.
