Job summary

Elliott-Lewis Corporation is seeking an experienced Lab Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day operations of the lab and the maintenance on-site staff at a facility in South Philadelphia. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment.

The ideal candidate will ensure laboratory systems and equipment operate safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience maintaining and repairing laboratory equipment.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
Proficient with diagnostic tools, hand tools, and testing equipment.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on laboratory equipment.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment issues and repair.
Operate computer systems and CMMS to document work.
Safely operate power tools and maintain tool inventory.
Calibrate and verify equipment performance for accuracy.
Respond promptly to service requests to minimize downtime.
Maintain maintenance logs and service records.
Coordinate with staff and vendors on repairs and schedules.
Assist with installation, relocation, and commissioning of equipment.
Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with OSHA.
