Job summary

Socket Fiber is seeking a motivated Junior Staff Accountant to join our in-office team in Sikeston, MO. You will support daily financial tasks, reconciliations, and reporting as part of a growing accounting group.

You will contribute to month-end close, assist with A/P and A/R, and help maintain accurate financial records. The role offers hands-on learning and collaboration with senior staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in accounting/finance or equivalent experience.
• Solid understanding of GAAP principles.
• Proficient in Excel and basic accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting entries and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare and post journal entries with proper documentation.
• Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed.
• Prepare financial reports and schedules.
• Support audits with required documents and support.
• Review expense reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain organized financial files and records.
• Collaborate with senior staff on special projects.
