Job summary

Austin Industrial in Louisiana is seeking a Pipefitter to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related equipment for industrial production. Qualifications

• Education: no minimum education requirements.
• Experience: 4 years of Journeyman-level experience.
• Certifications/ Licenses: NCCER, a Valid Driver's License and TWIC Card.

Responsibilities

• Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications using tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders and benders.
• Attach pipes to walls, structures and fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools or welding equipment.
• Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
• Plan pipe system layout, installation or repair according to specifications.
• Select pipe sizes and types and related materials according to specifications.
• Modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems and equipment according to specifications.
• Install automatic controls used to regulate pipe systems.
• Turn valves to shut off steam, water, or other gases or liquids from pipe sections.
