Job summary

Summit Human Capital is seeking an onsite IT Systems Analyst and Automation Specialist to modernize internal processes using Microsoft Power Platform automation, workflow development, and system integration in the Greater Norfolk region.

You will collaborate with multiple departments to replace manual processes with reliable automated solutions, gather requirements, map current workflows, and deploy scalable automation across the organization.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing, building, deploying, and supporting real-world Power Automate workflows.
• Experience with Power Automate, SharePoint Online, Forms, and Lists.
• Ability to gather requirements, map processes, design future-state workflows, test, deploy, and support solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Power Automate workflows to streamline approvals, notifications, requests, reporting, and processes.
• Collaborate with department leaders to gather requirements, identify automation opportunities, document workflows, and deliver solutions from concept to production.
• Maintain existing automations, troubleshoot failures, manage SharePoint and M365 integrations, and support reporting and ERP-related improvements.

Summit Human Capital is seeking a highly motivated Onsite IT Systems Analyst and Automation Specialist to support our client in the Greater Norfolk Region in the maritime and manufacturing industry. This position has the exciting opportunity to modernize internal business processes through Microsoft Power Platform automation, workflow development, and systems integration, supporting multiple departments by replacing manual processes with reliable automated solutions.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing, building, deploying, and supporting real-world Power Automate workflows, with ability to explain specific projects and technical decisions
• Experience with Power Automate, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Forms, and Microsoft Lists
• Ability to build approval workflows, automate routing/notifications, manage data structures, troubleshoot flows, and support deployed solutions
• Ability to independently gather requirements, map existing processes, design future-state workflows, build solutions, conduct testing, deploy changes, and provide ongoing support
• Comfortable with both new development and maintaining existing automations
• US Citizen or Green Card holder

Desired

• Experience with Power Apps, Power BI, Power Query, PowerShell, SQL, REST APIs, JSON, and related scripting/integration
• ERP system integration experience, especially Deltek Costpoint
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, enterprise reporting, manufacturing, maritime operations, or government contracting

The hourly pay range for this position is $37 – $45, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
