Job summary

Kansas City National Security Campus (KCNSC) is seeking an IT Support specialist to ensure high-quality, timely responses across all touchpoints—phone, email, chat, and in-person. You’ll handle escalations, assist with hardware and software issues, and contribute to knowledge base updates.

Role requires 2+ years IT experience, an on-site work pattern, and US citizenship with DOE security clearance eligibility. Travel is limited, and collaboration with cross-functional teams is routine.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of related information technology experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance; US citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Handle escalated tickets from Tier 1.
• Performs customer support, training, and troubleshooting activities for IT services.
• Interacts with customers, troubleshoots, and resolves problems via phone, chat, email or in-person.
• Escalates issues needing detailed analysis to more experienced personnel.
• Receives and records customer inquiries and logs closure entries.
• Assists in evaluating and recommending IT assets, processes, and services.
• Performs Asset Management tasks and related documentation.
• May perform periodic audits with internal and external auditors.
• Completes tasks and coordinates assistance for highly complex areas.
• Assists in training activities required for various capabilities.
