Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. is seeking an IT Network Engineer to join our IT Team based in Mobile, AL; Grand Prairie, TX; or Wichita, KS. The role covers WAN/LAN/Industrial & Wireless networks, network security, and cabling for Airbus Mobile (AL) USA site.

You will ensure data networks are available, secure, and performing to meet business needs. The position requires 5+ years of industrial networking experience, CCNP (CCIE preferred), and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of networking experience in industrial environments.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Expert networking: Cisco CCNP or equivalent.
• Preferred CCIE or equivalent.
• Experience with LAN, WAN, WiFi and network security products.
• Ability to travel 10% domestically and internationally.
• Authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Manage incidents, problems, and requests at L3 level.
• Propose improvements to increase network performance.
• Interface with internal customers in North America and with Europe teams.
• Act as primary technical focal point for LAN, Network Security, and wireless aspects in North America.
• Support and coordinate with partners and projects; provide L3 incident support as needed.
• Develop and execute test plans to evaluate infrastructure performance.
