Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. seeks an IT Network Engineer to join the IT Team in Mobile, AL (or Grand Prairie, TX; Wichita, KS). You will ensure data networks’ availability, performance, and security for Airbus Mobile and NA sites, coordinating with EU teams and internal customers.

The role requires 5+ years of networking in industrial settings, CCNP level proficiency (CCIE preferred), and fluent English. Domestic travel up to 10% is expected; 80% onsite with strong teamwork and problem-solving

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant Networking experience in industrial environment.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Run activities: incident, problem, or request management at L3 level; respond quickly to restore service and propose performance improvements.
  • Act as principal technical focal point for LAN, WAN, WiFi, and network security within North America; interface with Europe teams as needed.
  • Develop and execute test plans to verify IT infrastructure and system performance; document findings and provide recommendations.
  • Provide architectural and technical consulting to engineers and analysts; develop and enforce standards for North America.
