Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Systems Engineer in Mobile, AL to join the Engineering department. The role focuses on live on-aircraft troubleshooting, data analysis, and full-system coverage across aircraft subsystems to maintain safety and airworthiness.

The ideal candidate has a B.S./M.S. in aerospace-related fields and about 1 year of aerospace experience, with travel up to 15% within Airbus’ network. This is a full-time, on-site position in the Mobile facility.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical or systems engineering.
• ~1 year of relevant experience in aerospace engineering.
• Willing to travel up to 15% of the time overseas and domestically within the Airbus international network.

Responsibilities

• Live On-Aircraft Troubleshooting: perform immediate, hands-on on-aircraft troubleshooting and diagnostic assessments during ground and flight line operations.
• Test Data Assessment: analyze, interpret and evaluate test data from ground tests and production flights to diagnose deviations and assess effects on safety.
• Full Aircraft Systems Coverage: design engineering activities across the entire aircraft systems perimeter, including Control, Avionics, hydro- mechanical, Cabin, and APU/Power Plant.
• Airworthiness Accountability: ensure compliance with Aircraft Safety and continuous Airworthiness standards for rework and troubleshooting.
• Flight Line Debrief Representation: attend flight line debriefs with engineers and production crews to analyze telemetry anomalies.
