Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. in the United States is seeking an IT Network Engineer to join our IT Team based in Mobile, AL; Grand Prairie, TX; or Wichita, KS.

You will be responsible for the support, availability and performance of data networks (WAN, LAN, Industrial & Wireless, Network Security & Cabling) across North America. The role requires Cisco networking expertise, strong communication, and the ability to travel up to 10% domestically/internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years networking experience in Industrial Environment
• Cisco CCNP or equivalent networking certification (required)
• CCIE or equivalent certification (preferred)
• Excellent English communication skills
• Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically/internationally
• Authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Manage incident, problem or request requiring Level 3 support.
• Proactively propose improvements to increase network performance.
• Interface with internal customers in North America and with technical teams in Europe.
• Serve as primary technical focal point for LAN, WAN, Wireless (Aruba) and Network Security.
• Support long-term planning and project input for data strategy.
• Develop and execute test plans to check IT infrastructure performance.
