Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Site Lead and Senior Systems Administrator to manage local IT operations and lead a small site team. The role focuses on Windows Server 2019/2022, patching, troubleshooting, and maintaining security and availability of critical services.

The successful candidate will coordinate with central IT and site management, ensuring compliant operations, documentation, and efficient project delivery at the designated site.

Qualifications

• DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 certification required.
• Minimum 3 years related experience; 5 years preferred.
• TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Experience in systems administration and infrastructure management.
• Ability to prepare comprehensive documentation for systems tasks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary IT point of contact and site lead, overseeing local IT operations and ensuring seamless service delivery at the designated site.
• Lead and mentor a small team of IT professionals at the site, fostering skill development and a high-performing environment.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and communicate IT initiatives effectively to stakeholders.
• Manage local IT assets, inventory, and resources in line with standards and budget.
