Job summary

South Shore Health System is seeking an IT Field Support Technician I to provide on-site desktop support across multiple locations. You will own ticketed requests, resolve desktop issues, and assist with moves, adds, and changes while maintaining accurate documentation in the ticketing system.

The role requires 1–3 years of desktop support, familiarity with Windows 11, and experience supporting enterprise desktop environments in a healthcare setting. Local travel between SSHS sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of desktop support experience in a enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with Manager/Lead Analyst to complete daily Field Support tasks.
• Elevate issues when required and manage ticketed requests to closure.
• Document all work and resolutions in the ticketing system in real time.
• Assist with moves, adds and changes as directed.
• Ensure CMDB inventory is current for equipment lifecycle events.
• Communicate needs for IT equipment and spares when applicable.
• Respond to inquiries from colleagues and IS leadership in a timely manner.
• Contribute to reducing open ticket volumes and improve support processes.
