Job summary

Techead is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer for an on-site Contract-To-Hire role in San Diego, CA. The candidate will perform hands-on Windows administration, real-time network troubleshooting during live events, and ISSE support across RMF artifacts and ATO packages.

The role requires 3+ years in Windows admin, RMF/eMASS/ATO, 2+ years of networking, an active Secret clearance, and a DoD IAT Level II cert on day one. On-site work and security clearances are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Windows desktop and server administration.
• 3+ years with RMF, eMASS, and ATO/ATC processes.
• 2+ years of hands-on networking and routing troubleshooting.
• Active Secret clearance and onsite work requirement.
• Day-one DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, GSEC, SCNP or SSCP).

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain Windows desktops, workstations, and a server footprint.
• Conduct in-depth network troubleshooting and real-time failure isolation during live tests.
• Harden systems to DISA STIGs; apply and document IA updates.
• Execute ACAS scans, analyze vulnerabilities, remediate findings.
• Assist ISSE with RMF artifacts, eMASS navigation, and ATO/ATC submission prep.
• Use scripting to automate tasks and document standard operating procedures.
