Job summary

Hachette Livre is seeking an Inventory Manager to lead the inventory integrity function at our Lebanon, IN distribution facility. The role directs a team of analysts and clerks responsible for daily reconciliation, cycle counts, and month-end reporting to leadership and clients, ensuring accuracy in the perpetual inventory system.

You will oversee excess and obsolete inventory, coordinate with publishers on reduction strategies, and manage returns, donations, and destruction processes.

• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Leadership experience and ability to mentor staff.
• Experience in inventory control or warehouse environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee perpetual inventory integrity across internal and external warehouses.
• Direct staff in inventory reconciliations, daily audits, and adjustments.
• Lead month-end reporting to leadership and clients.
• Monitor excess and obsolete inventory; coordinate with publishers on reduction.
• Manage overstock, remainder, donations, and returns disposition.
• Coordinate daily cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Oversee outer-vendor liaison and audits related to physical inventory.
• Coordinate yearly physical inventory with internal teams.
