Job summary

Korn Ferry has partnered with a client in the construction/services industry to recruit an Interim Controller/CFO for an 8-12+ month engagement. The role is 100% on-site, Monday to Friday, with weekly travel to Louisville, KY.

The successful candidate will lead the month-end close, oversee Percentage of Completion (POC) and WIP, and ensure tight project accounting, reporting and GAAP compliance while strengthening controls.

Qualifications

• CPA or MBA preferred.
• Significant accounting leadership in the construction industry.
• Deep POC/WIP accounting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Oversee POC, WIP, job costing and project accounting.
• Review project financial performance and align reporting with results.
• Strengthen accounting processes and internal controls.
• Support audits and GAAP compliance.
• Lead and partner with operations on project margins and financial analysis.
