Job summary

Pharmaron in Coventry, RI is seeking an Instrumentation, Controls & Electrical Technician to support pharmaceutical manufacturing. You will maintain and troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems, collaborating with Engineering, Facilities, and Manufacturing teams to keep production safe and compliant.

The role requires a RI State Journeyman electrician license, a high school diploma, plus strong experience reading P&IDs, loop diagrams, and PLC/DCS test skills.

Qualifications

• Requires RI State Journeyman electrician license.
• 10 years industrial experience desirable (may be substituted by apprentice program or technical degree).
• Ability to read P&IDs and loop diagrams; interpret PLC code.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with change control processes and SOPs in regulated environments.
• Experience documenting in CMMS systems such as SAP/Maximo/Oracle.

Responsibilities

• PM execution in a cGMP environment.
• Calibrations of process instruments; Beamex experience preferred.
• Knowledge of PLCs, DCS, BMS, DeltaV, and Allen‑Bradley systems.
• Maintain electrical systems: switchgear, VFDs, UPS, generators, fire alarm systems.
• Document PM activities in a CMMS such as SAP; review equipment history.
• On-call rotation as ICE technician for one week per cycle.
• Manage workload to complete calibrations and tasks on time.
