Job summary

The Florida Virtual School is seeking an Instructor for the Florida Scholars Academy in Palm Beach, FL. This on-site role involves delivering high-quality instruction to students in residential facilities under DJJ supervision, utilizing blended online and in-person learning to support academic growth.

You will plan lessons, assess progress, maintain records, and collaborate with supervisors and peers to ensure student success while upholding professional standards and state policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university.
• Valid Florida Professional Teaching Certificate OR active enrollment in a state-approved program with eligibility.
• Exceptional Student Educational (ESE) Certification, preferred.
• English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Endorsement, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging instructional activities in assigned subjects.
• Identify and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Supervise students and maintain attendance records.
