Job summary

The University of Texas at El Paso is seeking an Instructional Designer to create, implement, and improve learning solutions supporting professional development and organizational effectiveness. The role also leads the Office of Human Resources’ digital learning presence and online resource portals.

Responsibilities include designing varied learning modalities, developing multimedia content, and applying instructional design methodologies, with a focus on user-friendly web content and analytics

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in education, instructional design, organizational development, or related field.
  • Two years’ experience designing and developing employee training programs.
  • Experience creating instructor led, virtual, and self-paced learning materials.
  • Experience conducting training needs assessments and identifying skills gaps.
  • Experience creating knowledge management resources, including process guides, SOPs, and knowledge bases.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and evaluate instructor-led, virtual, hybrid, and eLearning programs.
  • Develop facilitator guides, participant workbooks, job aids, videos, assessments, and multimedia content.
  • Apply ADDIE, SAM, or similar instructional design methodologies.
  • Design and maintain the Office of Learning & Continuous Improvement website and digital learning portals.
  • Develop responsive web content using HTML, CSS, and modern web design practices.
  • Develop eLearning using educational/courseware development applications; create videos and multimedia.
  • Manage multiple instructional design projects and collaborate with stakeholders.
