Job summary

ATI Physical Therapy in San Marcos, TX seeks an Injury Prevention Specialist (PRN) to support on-site employee health programs. You will develop injury prevention plans, assess body mechanics, and deliver coaching within workplace settings, aiming to reduce injuries and improve health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in athletic training required.
• Alternative: PTA with licensure or related degree/experience.
• BOC certification or eligibility preferred.
• Basic Life Support and AED certification required.
• Discipline-specific license or certification as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Interface with office and industrial clients to assess health status and create an individualized plan for improvement.
• Observe employee work performance, assess body mechanics, and create mitigation plans.
• Document treatments and provide coaching for continuous improvement.
• Understand OSHA recordkeeping rules as they pertain to first aid (29 CFR 1904.7).
• Address discomfort through education and job-specific coaching to prevent injuries.
• Assist with medical surveillance testing and clinic operations.
• Develop and provide employee health education and training on wellness and prevention.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training

Master’s Degree in Athletic Training

Associates degree as a PTA with licensure
