Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan in Morenci, AZ is recruiting for an IT/MIS support role on a 24/7 site. The position involves installing and configuring PCs, networking gear, and servers, and supporting process infrastructure and MIS initiatives.

Required are 4 years of troubleshooting experience with 1 technical certification or 6 years of related work, plus a HS diploma or GED. On-site work with strong safety and environmental program participation is expected.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in computer/electronic systems hardware/software troubleshooting with 1 technical certification, OR 6 years of experience.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Candidates may be required to pass a medical exam and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, deliver and install personal computers, telephones, networking, and peripheral equipment using defined procedures.
• Configure, install, troubleshoot, and monitor communications devices including switches, hubs, wireless devices, MESH networking components, and RF systems.
• Assist in the management of site's servers and process infrastructure (virtual/physical servers and storage).
• Assist in executing MIS and process infrastructure projects.
• Participate in Safety and Environmental programs and ensure MIS policy compliance.
• Perform other duties as required.
