Austin Industrial, Inc. is seeking experienced QA/QC API Inspectors to be based in Freeport, TX.

The role focuses on inspections of equipment, materials, and processes to ensure API and regulatory compliance in refinery, petrochemical, and industrial settings. You will perform API inspections (510/570/653), oversee NDT, read drawings and P&IDs, and compile detailed reports with corrective actions, while maintaining safety and site procedures.

Formación

• Education – High school diploma or GED (Associates or technical degree preferred).
• Experience – Relevant experience in inspection, maintenance, or construction within oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial sectors.
• Certification/License – API 510 (Pressure Vessel Inspector), API 570 (Piping Inspector), API 653 (Tank Inspector)

Responsabilidades

• Inspect in accordance with API standards (e.g., API 510, 570, 653).
• Perform visual inspections, NDT oversight, and thickness measurements.
• Evaluate integrity of pressure vessels, piping, tanks, and related equipment.
• Review inspection data, reports, and maintenance records for compliance and accuracy.
• Identify defects, corrosion, or other conditions impacting safety and performance.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports with findings and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, client, and site safety protocols.
• Coordinate with engineers, maintenance teams, and operations personnel to resolve issues.
• Witness and verify repairs, alterations, and testing activities.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical documents.
• Maintain up-to-date certifications and knowledge of API codes and industry practices.
