Job summary

Austin Industrial, Inc. is seeking experienced QA/QC API Inspectors to be based in Freeport, TX. The role involves inspections of equipment, materials and processes to ensure API and industry code compliance in refinery and petrochemical environments.

Responsibilities include API-driven inspections, visual and NDT oversight, data review, and accurate reporting. Must hold API 510/570/653 credentials; TWIC Card required; on-site, safety-focused work culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (Associates or technical degree preferred).
• Relevant experience in inspection, maintenance, or construction within oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial sectors.
• API 510 (Pressure Vessel Inspector), API 570 (Piping Inspector), API 653 (Tank Inspector) certifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections in accordance with API standards (API 510, 570, 653).
• Perform visual inspections, NDT oversight, and thickness measurements.
• Evaluate integrity of pressure vessels, piping systems, tanks, and related equipment.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports with findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with engineers and operations to resolve inspection issues.
