Job summary

TEAM, Inc. seeks experienced API Inspectors to perform mechanical integrity inspections on pressure vessels, piping, and aboveground storage tanks in industrial plants.

The role is field-based, requiring professional judgment, attention to detail, and strong report writing for client specifications. Candidates should hold active API certifications (510/570/653) and related credentials such as AWS CWI or AMPP, with safety-first mindset and willingness to travel and work extended hours in

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (Technical Degree or Military Experience a Plus)
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening & background check
• Must be able to obtain TWIC, DISA, and/or other site access credentials
• Active certification in API 510, 570, or 653
• Solid understanding of damage mechanisms, welding, pressure boundaries, and inspection intervals per jurisdictional and client requirements
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to generate accurate reports and interface with multi-level stakeholders
• Ability to travel, work extended hours, and operate in field environments including confined spaces and extreme weather

Responsibilities

• Perform internal, external, and on-stream inspections according to codes (API, ASME, NBIC) and client inspection programs
• Prepare and review isometric drawings, repair plans, inspection reports, and data sheets
• Recommend and track inspection intervals, corrosion monitoring points, and follow-up actions based on condition assessments
• Identify mechanical and structural deficiencies and provide repair recommendations or fitness-for-service evaluations
• Interface with client representatives, engineers, and maintenance personnel to ensure inspection scope, timelines, and deliverables are met
• Utilize digital tools and data management systems to track asset health and inspection histories
• Coordinate with NDT technicians and support personnel as part of a multi-disciplinary inspection team
• Adhere to TEAM’s Life Critical Expectations and all site-specific safety protocols
• Uphold industry codes and TEAM’s standards of professionalism, integrity, and quality
