Job summary

US&S invites applications for an HVAC Mechanic position in Fayetteville, AR. This role maintains, repairs and installs HVAC systems including refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.

You will perform preventive maintenance, inspect boilers and related components, and ensure safety and compliance with client requirements. The position reports to the On-Site Supervisor and collaborates with the Director of Operations and HR staff.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED.
• Two years of documentable HVAC journeyman level operation, maintenance and repair experience in the HVAC and refrigeration trade.
• Valid photo identification to enter the work area.
• Ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing drug and alcohol screening tests.
• Ability to pass requirements to obtain a security badge, as needed by the client.
• Authorization to work in the US as per the E-Verify database.
• At least 3-5 years of general building knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, modify and install HVAC equipment including compressors, condensers, chillers and pumps.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections of refrigeration units and heating/ventilation equipment; service boilers and related systems.
• Repair or replace defective parts and controls such as thermostats, relays and valves.
• Operate tools and equipment; maintain inventory and safety practices.
• Test boiler operations and adjust burner combustion; inspect and insulate pipes.
