Job summary

Arkansas Colleges of Health Education is seeking an HVAC Building Maintenance Technician to work on-site in Fort Smith, AR. You will support the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for students and staff.

The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, along with building rounds, repairs, and after-hours coverage as part of a rotation. EPA certification and trade training are required.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of HVAC experience.
• Five (5) years of experience in all phases of building maintenance.
• Trade school training.
• EPA Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative and predictive maintenance on building equipment to ensure HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems are in constant working order.
• Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems.
• Electrical and mechanical repairs such as installing switches and replacing outlets.
• Repair of light fixtures and replacement of faulty bulbs.
• Operate and perform minor repairs of Fire Alarm system.
• Perform building rounds and log status of equipment.
• Respond to emergency situations to resolve issues promptly.
• Observe safety procedures and rules.
• Repair leaks in drains and faucets.
• Minor repair and painting of walls as required.
• Material handling at receiving docks and deliveries within building.
• Door hardware maintenance and repair.
• Troubleshoot and repair irrigation systems.
• Move furniture as needed.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance equipment and supplies.
• Inspect and repair motors, pumps, valves, and boiler systems.
• Attend after-hours on-call rotation as needed.
• Participate in company-provided training opportunities.
• Clean mechanical rooms and equipment.
