Job summary

Bowhead is seeking a Health, Safety & Environmental Specialist (HSE Specialist) in our Springfield, VA office. The role involves coordinating training, inspections, and regulatory compliance across multiple program areas for a diverse client base.

The position requires knowledge of OSHA regulations, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate in varying environments, including field conditions and client sites.

Qualifications

• BA/BS with at least 1+ year HSE experience or AA with 5+ years.
• Strong knowledge of Client and OSHA regulations and guidelines.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business material and gov regulations.
• Ability to write reports and procedures; present information to groups.
• OSHA 30 card or OSHA Outreach Trainer experience.
• Knowledge of substance abuse testing, workers' comp, HAZMAT regs (HAZCOM/HAZWOPER).

Responsibilities

• Interact with military, civilian personnel and contractors.
• Maintain knowledge of OSHA regulations and programs.
• Provide admin, industrial, maintenance, and logistic support for government contracts.
• Work across diverse environments including offices, warehouses and field sites.
• Perform job hazard analysis as required.
