Job summary

Robert Joseph Group in Arlington, VA, is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations for a government contracting client. You will manage a two-person team, partner with executive leadership, and shape employee programs, processes, and systems to support growth.

The role requires five+ years in HR leadership, experience with government contractors, and proficiency with ADP Workforce Now.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of progressive HR management experience.
• Experience with a government contractor.
• Experience supporting a multi-state workforce.
• Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now.
• Strong knowledge of employment requirements (federal, state, local).
• Bachelor's degree in HR, business admin, or related field.
• SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP/PHR/SPHR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HR operations including onboarding, employee relations, investigations, leave, performance management, compensation, and separations.
• Manage annual benefits renewals and administration, including 401(k).
• Maintain policies and employment practices for a multi-state contractor; coordinate audits and reporting.
• Implement process improvements for HR tools and workflows; develop workforce metrics for leadership.
• Lead two HR staff and coach managers on policy interpretation and development.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition from offer through onboarding and work with Finance, Operations, and IT.
