Job summary

Hitachi Global Air Power seeks an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead HR service delivery for its Michigan City operation, translating business priorities into effective local programs. You will oversee workforce planning, leadership development, employee relations, talent acquisition, retention, and compliance, managing the local HR Business Partner and Talent Acquisition teams.

You will advise managers across Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Sales and Service, Finance, and IT,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HRM or related field required; Master’s preferred.
• PHR or SHRM certification preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive HR experience, incl. 5 years leading an HR team in a complex environment.
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in global/international organizations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site HR partner to Michigan City operations and supported US, LATAM, and EMEA functions.
• Lead and develop the Michigan City HR Business Partners and Talent team; set priorities and service standards.
• Own workforce planning, succession, talent reviews, organizational design, and leadership development.
• Lead culture transformation initiatives aligned with values, behaviors, and business strategy.
• Advise managers on complex employee relations, investigations, and organizational change.
• Direct deployment of talent acquisition, onboarding, retention, and employee communications.
